Working Groups

The Working Groups are responsible for implementing specific activities in support of the GEO LDN Initiative’s main objectives. The Working Groups are led by the GEO LDN co-chairs and additional co-leads. Membership in the working groups is open to all GEO members, participating organizations, and other stakeholders. Three Working Groups have been established on: Capacity Development, Data Quality Standards and Data Analytics. More information on the Working Groups can be found.

The GEO-LDN Secretariat is responsible for managing the daily operations and logistical support for the GEO-LDN Initiative, and providing scientific and technical coordination for the activities of its working groups. Steering Committee 

The Steering Committee is the primary decision-making body of the initiative. It drives the strategic direction of the initiative, helps coordinate activities, and identifies and mobilises resources.  The Steering Committee consists of the Working Group co-chairs and co-leads, country members, participating organisations, and other stakeholders and shareholders.
